Story
Join us in changing lives- one step at a time!
In May 2026, we’ll be taking on an incredible challenge: trekking the famous West Highland Way through the Scottish Highlands, just under 100 miles. Over six days, we’ll be trekking through rolling Lowlands and dramatic highlands, passing lochs, moors, dense forests and towering mountains, all to help patients across the East of England get the care they deserve.
But we can’t do this without you.
Our goal is to raise £1,000, and every single donation will go directly towards make a life-changing difference. Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust funds cutting-edge technology, pioneering research, vital patient comforts, and is even fundraising to build two new hospitals:
🏥 Cambridge Children’s Hospital: The first specialist children's hospital in the East, pioneering in the way it will integrate mental and physical healthcare.
🎗Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital: A hospital that will change the story of cancer by detecting and treating it as early as possible
This cause is deeply personal to us. Sophie spent much of her early years undergoing eight operations for a hip defect, with countless visits to Sheffield Children’s Hospital between the ages of 1-14. Thanks to dedicated doctors, she can now take on this trek- something we never thought possible. But we know firsthand how much a nearby specialist children's hospital would have helped our family.
That’s why we’re doing this. That’s why we need your help.
👉 Please donate today. Every pound brings us closer to better healthcare for thousands of patients.
