Fred Whitton Challenge · 7 May 2023

We believe passionately that the local Church is the hope of the world. We are therefore committed to building a mission community within which each member is nurtured in the truth of God’s word and the power of God’s Spirit, and so equipped to bear witness to Christ in a broken world.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling the Fred Whitton Challenge to raise money for new lab equipment for Kabarole Church of Uganda Hospital in Fort Portal, Uganda.

I hope we can raise enough money to help them purchase a new biochemistry analyser. Their current machine is old and very expensive to run. A new machine will provide cost effective care to far more patients.

The Fred Whitton Challenge is a 112 mile cycling sportive around the Lake District, taking in all the Lakeland passes of Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott (with its 30% gradients coming at 98 miles), Wrynose and Blea Tarn. It is a very tough route and claims to be the hardest one day ride in the UK.
