Trevor's Story:
I’m proud to be one of Cynthia Spencer Hospice’s BIG 50 Fundraisers!
2026 is a very big year in the life of Cynthia Spencer Hospice. To mark this occasion I'm taking on the Big 50 Challenge. I've devised my own personal challenge.
I will run a minimum of 100 miles every month from August to December 2026. The first 50 miles each month is to celebrate the age of Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the second 50 miles each month is to the next 50 years of the existence of this incredible Charity that delivers so much warmth, comfort, love and support to the local community. Included in my challenge will be the Northampton half marathon on 13 September and later that month I will run 50 laps of the Woodland Walk around the Hospice Gardens.
My wife was a recipient of the wonderful support given by the Hospice. For the last 9 years I've been a volunteer driver and have heard 100% positive experiences that patients tell me about. The families and friends of patients also give glowing reports of the Cynthia Spencer Hospice experience.
Fundraising is so important to enable the Hospice to continue it's huge contribution to the local community. Anyone of us could be so grateful to the Hospice for giving that care to us or a member of our family or friends in the future.
I’ve signed up to be one of the BIG 50 Fundraisers because I believe everyone deserves the very best care at the end of life. My goal is to raise £2,000, which could support a patient and their family for a week. That’s a week of comfort, support, and reassurance for patients and their loved ones, completely free of charge.
If you can please help by donating whatever you can. Every donation will go towards continuing this exceptional care to the local community.
Thank you so much.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice doesn’t just care for patients; they care for families too, offering emotional support, practical advice, and a safe space during the toughest times. Your donation will help ensure this incredible service continues for the next 50 years and beyond.
