Squashbuckler Triathlon for Men’s Mental Health

Squashbuckler Triathlon · 6 July 2025
Hi all,
Monty, Michael and Toby here.
On July 6th, we’ll be pushing ourselves to the limit in the Squashbuckler Triathlon — a 1.1 km swim, 40 km cycle, and 11 km run — to raise awareness and vital funds for Movember, a charity that’s changing the conversation around men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
We’re doing this not just for the challenge, but for every man who’s ever struggled in silence.
Why Movember?
Men’s mental health is in crisis. In the UK:
•3 out of 4 suicides are by men.
•Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50
•Around 1 in 8 men have a common mental health problem, such as depression, anxiety, or stress — but many never seek help.
We often tell men to “man up,” to stay strong, to keep things in — but that silence is costing lives. Movember is tackling this stigma head-on by funding innovative mental health programs, peer support networks, and early intervention services that save lives.
We are grateful for any donation no matter how large or small.
Monty, Michael and Toby.
