Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Walk of Hope is the Brain Tumour Research annual national event to raise money to bring hope to brain tumour patients and their families.

Our team are completing the Walk of Hope in memory of my dear mother Breda Murtagh whose life was taken too soon by GBM4 of which there was no cure and for all patients and families who are affected by this awful disease.

We will Walk in memory of those family members whose lives have been lost to brain tumours, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters and friends.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible, in the hope of supporting the incredible medical teams, who are dedicated to finding a cure.

Together we will find a cure!!🙏
