Story
I am walking 100k in march for Saint Francis Hospice. St Francis Hospice looked after a very dear friend of mine last year, who sadly lost his fight to Cancer in September.
Karl not only recieved the best care, the family and friends recieved amazing support by the staff too.
I visited many times, it was not all doom and gloom as I first anticipated, it was rather upbeat, giving the patients a pleasant experience, whether it be end of life or respite care.
I know Karl always looked forward to visiting, he always commented on how nice the food was and loved all the staff.
I wanted to do something for this amazing place, especially as they rely heavily on funding. If the funding wasnt available, then Karl and his family would not have recived the care and support and their journey could have been so very different. It is hard enough to be dealing with losing a loved one as it is.
So please if you could just spare a £1 , every little helps to keep this amazing place open for the next person to recieve the amzing care they need, as we never know when we may need places like this ourselves, or for loved ones.
In addition to the 100k walk, I will be adding another 100k to make it a bit more challenging (more of a bet with My husband Gary) so for the month of March I will be walking 200K. As I said any help would be amazing and will keep me going to complete this in 31 days!!
I will keep you updated on my journey!!
This is for you Karl Blair, Miss you loads.
Thank you for reading and donations
