Malawi Christmas Appeal 2025 - "Light up Malawi"

Our main priority as ever remains continuing to fund free school lunches at Chipwepwete Primary School at a cost of just £15 per student per year. However, the generosity of our community over recent years has made possible a number of other transformational projects.

Last year, we completed and furnished a new classroom block which has lifted students off dusty floors to sit at a desk and learn. This year we are hoping to extend this further and ‘light up Malawi’ to provide access to power in these classrooms. Currently the school has just one small solar panel which is not reliable and limits the learning they can do. At a cost of around £3000 we can connect them to power and amongst other things provide the opportunity to use computers. If we achieve this together, the impact would be dramatic.
