Follow the Leader – Supporting Midwives’ Wellbeing
I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share that I’ll be taking on the London Marathon 2026 ,26.2 miles of passion, perseverance, and purpose to raise funds for our Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) Fund.
As the PMA Lead, I believe in leading by example, showing that when we take care of ourselves, we’re better able to care for others. Midwives work tirelessly to provide compassionate, high-quality care for women and families every day. This fundraiser is my way of giving back to those who give so much.
What the Funds Will Support
International Day of the Midwife Celebrations – a chance to recognise and honour the incredible work, dedication, and resilience of our midwives.
Wellbeing Initiatives for Maternity Staff – activities and resources designed to support mental health, self-care, and team wellbeing across our maternity services.
Why It Matters
The wellbeing of our maternity workforce is at the heart of safe, compassionate care. Supporting these initiatives helps nurture the people who make a difference every single day.
How You Can Help
Every donation, no matter how small, will help make a lasting impact. Together, we can ensure our midwives feel valued, supported, and celebrated.
