Story

The West Country 100 (WC 100) is a select group of 100 business leaders in the South West of England, who come together and have a desire to enhance support for Royal Marines, past, present and future - who find themselves in need through injury, illness and hardship.

Departing on 8th September and returning a week later, the trek will allow a number of our Royal Marines Charity supporters to get to know some of the wounded, injured and sick Royal Marines who are on their recovery pathways. The Trek will provide all participants with a challenging environment to rebuild physical and mental resilience. It will allow the supporters to get their 'hands dirty' helping the Royal Marines directly, while it will also give the serving and retired Royal Marines an insight into the motivations of the supporters of their charity and create bonds of friendship which will endure.

This year the cost of the Royal Marines places have been subsidised by sponsorship from Airbus Helicopters UK, and as an employee I feel extremely honored be taking part in this event.
