In a moment of pure madness, I have decided to run the London Marathon and I need your help to raise money for this fantastic cause!

A long road to get here...

Having initially signed up in the summer of 2024, I suffered an injury to both my achilles in January of last year and was forced to defer my place to this April. For nearly two years now, I've been training, rehabbing and training again (if that wasn't enough I've quit the drink until the marathon is complete!) and I'm now into the final stretch. Its hardest thing I've ever done but it will all be worthwhile to hit that magic fundraising target. Every penny you can support with could make a huge difference!

A fantastic cause..

ActionAid is an international development charity that works with women and girls living in poverty across across the world.

They make sure girls go to and stay in school, they work with communities to end gender-based violence, and train women in the skills they need to earn a living. They also help women and communities prepare for and recover from disasters, at a time when they can be at their most vulnerable. *£9 could provide enough materials such as pencils and books for a child for one year, helping them to get the education they deserve

*£33 could supply farmers with the seeds they need to restock their land and provide for their families when their land has been destroyed by environmental disasters.

*£63 could provide farmers in Kenya with a specialist bee suit and hive tools, allowing them to safely harvest honey which they can then sell at the market.
