In a moment of pure madness, I have decided to run the London Marathon and I need your help! For anyone that's seen me plodding around at 5 aside on a Monday night, you'll know what a challenge this is going to be but it'll all be worth it if I can raise the target for such a brilliant cause.

ActionAid is an international development charity that works with women and girls living in poverty across across the world.

They make sure girls go to and stay in school, they work with communities to end gender-based violence, and train women in the skills they need to earn a living. They also help women and communities prepare for and recover from disasters, at a time when they can be at their most vulnerable. They demand action at local, national and international level and don’t walk away until they’ve achieved lasting change.

*£9 could provide enough materials such as pencils and books for a child for one year, helping them to get the education they deserve

*£33 could supply farmers with the seeds they need to restock their land and provide for their families when their land has been destroyed by environmental disasters.

*£63 could provide farmers in Kenya with a specialist bee suit and hive tools, allowing them to safely harvest honey which they can then sell at the market.

UPDATE: Unfortunately due to an injury to my achilles (yes, turns out my achilles heel was my achilles heel), I have been forced to withdraw from this year's race and will now be running in 2026 instead. All donations will still count towards my fundraising total for the brilliant people at Action Aid and carry through to next year. It's going to be a long road back but I can assure you I am more determined than ever to complete this challenge. Every bit of support helps and thank you to all that donating already!
