I am taking part in a charity boxing event on the 15th December and have chosen to raise money for MEN WHO TALK.
A lot of men struggle with the social stigmas surrounding mental health and feeling safe enough to ask for support when in a dark place. One of these men is my uncle Ian who unfortunately took his own life whilst battling with mental health issues. The ripples left behind spread wide and cause decades of heartache for their loved ones.
This is my opportunity to raise money for a good cause and to help support men out there facing similar battles to my uncle.
If you are struggling at all with feelings of hopelessness or suicidal thoughts, please reach out. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and your loved ones will be forever grateful you were brave enough to reach out for support.
