Bethaney Parsons is raising money for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth

Hair cut · 23 July 2026

St Luke's Hospice Plymouth provides end of life care in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. It is the generosity of the caring community and people like you who enable over 300 people and their families at any given time access to this specialist support through the toughest of times.

Story

This feels a bit like dejavu…after 5 years of nurturing this beautiful blonde mane, our gorgeous littlest lady has decided she’d like to cut her hair short and donate 14 inches to Keep AHead of Hair, Craig Chapman’s charitable enterprise with the skills of the marvellous Julie Milne who helps to form wigs and wefts for local individuals experiencing hair loss. Through the power of social media, I’ve been lucky enough to follow the story of some remarkable women who have benefitted from this and we could not be more proud of our girl for choosing to do something so lovely.

As part of this challenge, she would like to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. St Luke’s provides outstanding specialist care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families, both in the hospice and in people’s own homes across Plymouth, South West Devon and parts of East Cornwall. Their work helps families make the most of every precious moment together, offering comfort, dignity and compassionate care when it is needed most. All sponsorship money will go directly to this Hospice, which incidentally could well become somewhere our wonderful hairdresser Alicia could well end up working having almost completed her Nurse Associate degree.

Whether you can donate a little or a lot, or simply share this page with others, every contribution will make a real difference.
