🚴‍♂️ Across Africa… on a Brompton ... (yes, really) ... 3,000 Kms & 20,000m climbing

Troels Henriksen is raising money for Power2
With our support, children and young people improve their wellbeing, re-engage with school and learning, build networks and access opportunities. We're the charity behind the award-winning Teens and Toddlers programme.

Story

In June - Namibia, Botswana, Eswatini & South Africa here we come. Small wheels. Big distance. Questionable judgement.

Trying to raise £10,000 for two brilliant causes that share a simple belief:

CONFIDENCE CHANGES EVERYTHING

Power2 and Anthem Inspire - full details below.

🙏 If you’re able to support - Every donation goes directly to these two causes. I’ll do the pedalling (and the suffering).

Thank you — it genuinely means a lot.

💛 Power2

Power2 firmly believes that young people don’t need “fixing” — they just need someone in their corner and the chance to realise what they’re capable of.

They do this in two distinct — and powerful — ways:

• Group mentoring programmes

Young people step up to mentor younger children.

In doing so, something shifts — they start to see themselves as role models. They realise they matter, that others look up to them, and that they have something real to offer.

That’s where confidence and self-belief really begin to grow.

“It feels amazing to be a role model… it’s changed me a lot.”

• One-to-one mentoring

Alongside that, Power2 provides consistent, trusted adult support. No judgement. No pressure. Just someone who shows up, listens, and helps them navigate whatever life is throwing at them.

It’s simple, human, and incredibly effective.

👉 £1,000 can sponsor a full place for a young person on one of our programmes.

Anthem Aspire - an Anthem Schools Trust initiative

Anthem Aspire is a new programme opening doors for children who too often go without opportunities others take for granted.

For many, this is about firsts:

• First time performing on stage

• First experience of organised sport

• First outdoor challenge

• First moment they realise: “this is for me”

For some, it’s even simpler than that — standing on a stage, or a pitch, or a hillside… and thinking: “I didn’t think I could do this.”

That moment matters. Because that’s where confidence starts.

It’s about giving every child — regardless of background — the chance to build confidence, resilience and belief in themselves.

👉 £100 can help fund a place on an outdoor development experience.

👉 £200 can sponsor a full programme place for a young person who would otherwise miss out.
