Story
We are in the unfortunate position where very special friends and their teenage son is currently battling cancer. This is something that no family should ever have to go through! He is being an absolute warrior against this awful disease but we can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for them all - him, his parents and his sister.
Unfortunately this is not the first family we know to go through this awful experience so here's our small contribution to help the cause.
I (Kris) am aiming to swim the width of the English channel, that's 1416 lengths, before the end of September, in just 25 days!
Alicia, age 10, is swimming 2 miles, that's 120 lengths in the same period.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
