G Trek for Good is back for its fifth edition — and this time, we’re heading to Spain! Together we’ll be (literally) stepping things up and conquering 100+ kilometres of the legendary Camino de Santiago. This isn’t just a breathtaking trek across northern Spain; it’s a fundraising mission with heart, powered by G Adventures. We’re talking sore legs, full hearts, and great vibes, all in the name of raising funds for two life-changing charities: Planeterra, in their mission to uplift communities through tourism, and ABTA LifeLine, in their mission to support UK travel colleagues in tough times.

We’re aiming to raise £1,000 from each participant as part of our overall goal of £50,000. Since our first G Trek for Good back in 2018, we have raised over £140,000 — and in the name of edition number five, we’re going bigger, bolder, and more blister-prepped than ever. Why do we do this? Because we see first hand the difference your donations make to the lives of people that really need it.

This January alone, ABTA LifeLine was there for individuals and families facing financial hardship. From providing bunk beds and food vouchers to covering essential energy costs and arranging specialist debt advice — we offered support when it was needed most. One individual shared their experience: 'Being off sick and relying on SSP placed me under significant emotional and financial pressure. Your assistance with my mortgage payments has truly made a profound difference. Knowing that there are organisations like yours who genuinely care has meant more to me than I can express.'

Just one project Planeterra is supporting is a social enterprise restaurant in Arequipa, creates jobs for deaf people while teaching diners basic sign language. The experience promotes inclusion, visibility, and cultural exchange, while supporting education for deaf children and expanding employment opportunities.
