Story
Hippity-hop on over to our fundraising page and join Truffles, our adorable Easter bunny, on a mission to support the Isle of Man Home of Rest for Old Horses.
Emily (who goes by her middle name “Megan” online) and I have always had a passion for mascot performance. We find it incredibly rewarding to bring joy and smiles to people's faces, adding a touch of cartoon whimsy to an otherwise repetitive world! The positive impact we saw on people's lives inspired us to start our own fundraising group to help us support even more causes than we could on our own!
When we first reached out looking for events in need, we were overwhelmed by the number of people offering to pay for our services. As grateful as we are for this, Floofsters is all about giving back to society and for us, while charging for our services would help us afford new characters, we’d much rather those funds go directly to those we support.
Whilst helping with the Home of Rests Christmas event we absolutely loved to see the care and passion Barbara and the rest of the team put into everything they do. At this time of giving, we thought they would be the perfect place to send these much needed donations!
In return for their donations, we’ll be providing donors a visit from Truffles himself. This will see him traveling to schools, nurseries, and businesses, spreading Easter cheer and creating unforgettable experiences for everyone. Our visits can include interactive activities (he’s not afraid of a dance), photo opportunities, and a chance for people to meet our adorable bunny up close!
If you're interested in booking a visit from Truffles, please contact us through our Facebook page, "Floofsters Animal Antics", or via Megan herself. We are currently only doing paid visits for businesses and educational groups, but donations from the general public are always appreciated. Your support will help us make a difference in the lives of these deserving equines. Together, we can make Easter a truly special time for everyone.
While we are thrilled to be able to support the Home of Rest with this campaign, it’s important to note that our commitment to giving back to the community extends beyond this specific fundraising drive. We firmly believe that there are many good charities and community events out there that deserve our support, and we are equally dedicated to providing free mascot visits to those organizations (as you will see as Truffles hops his way across the island over Easter). Your donations, regardless of whether they are made in conjunction with a paid visit or are made to charities he appears with in person, will be greatly appreciated by whichever charity is involved and will help make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Truffles is a free-range rabbit after all!
Thanks for taking your time to read this, and we look forward to seeing you all!
