Truro School fundraiser for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution

Truro School Mince Pie Mile Run · 19 December 2024
Each year, the 2nd year forms select a charity to support collectively. Earlier this term, pupils delivered impressive presentations to the year group and the Community Action Team, sharing their chosen causes. After thoughtful deliberation, the year group has decided to support 2H’s chosen charity, the RNLI, as their primary focus for this year, championing a cause that holds significant importance for so many, both locally and nationally.
Pupils will run, walk (or in some cases sleigh) a mile around the school site in festive wear on the last day of school to kick start their support of the charity this academic year.
"Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place".
Thank you.
