For over 30 years, Foothold Cymru has supported people and communities in West Wales to overcome challenges and thrive. From tackling food insecurity to promoting well-being, we provide practical help and opportunities to create a better future. Together, we can make a lasting difference!

Story

Foothold Cymru

Foothold Cymru is a social justice charity based in Llanelli, working to create strong communities where individuals can thrive and not just survive.

£30 million pounds - the approximate total funding attracted to West Wales via grants and contracts for a broad breadth of capacity building activities.

198,000 - the number of individuals supported through various activities, improving lives, livelihoods and wellbeing.

8,000 - the number of businesses that have worked with Foothold Cymru to help unemployed people back to work.

Trostre Commercial Team

4 members of our Commercial Team at Tata Steel Trostre; Adrian Davies, Laura Griffiths, Sarah Passmore and Sion Tiplady will be running the Llanelli Half Marathon in September to raise money for Foothold Cymru.

The cost of living crisis has only accelerated the problems that Foothold has been fighting for the last 30 years. Based only a stone's throw away from our Tata Steel offices, supporting Foothold Cymru is supporting our employees and their local communities. This money will go a long way in supporting our neighbours with things many of us take for granted – food, clothing, education and employment.

Thank you in advance for all of your donations, as every little helps.

Live Well

We work with communities to find solutions to poverty. We are driven to make sure everyone has access to great quality, fresh food to feed themselves and their families. We want everyone to have access to tools and equipment to maintain their homes. And we offer clothes and essentials to families who need them.

Learn Well

We understand a traditional learning setting doesn’t work for everyone. But it’s also important to get qualifications to take the next life step. We offer a range of formal and informal learning opportunities for young people and adults who’ve have been failed by the traditional system.

Work Well

We provide employment and enterprise support in response to our community’s needs. As part of this we offer a range of employability training and paid work placements.
