We give out about 100 food parcels a week to people who are referred to us by registered agencies. In 2024 we fed 10,118 people. We provide a listening ear and signposting services to help alleviate the underlying causes of food poverty. We rely totally on public donations for our support.

Story

The Burngreave Foodbank doesn’t think anyone in their community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Cash donations allow the Burngreave Foodbank to buy necessities at bulk prices, making the donation go further.
