Help TTI create a ripple effect of healing

Claire Owen is raising money for Trauma Treatment International
We assist people affected by torture, trafficking and slavery. We provide specialist psychological services to victims of organised violence and support to the organisations that care for them. We work in partnership, anywhere in the world. Our organisation brings together the expertise gained by several decades of work with traumatised populations in a range of geographical and political situations in conflict environments and stable settings. We set up TTI because we believe that working both with victims and the organisations that care for them is the best way to help recovery, build capacity and develop resilience.

Story

Like all of us at TTI, I know you will have been deeply disturbed by recent events of racist, Islamophobic, antisemitic, and anti-migrant attacks in communities around the UK.

Increasing violence is also being experienced by many of our partners who work internationally - 2025 was one of the most violent years since the Cold War, with 65 active conflicts across 35 countries.

Around the world, human rights workers and charity leaders are constantly responding to heightened risk, supporting distressed teams, and trying to keep their teams safe.

Among our partners, we are hearing the same questions: how can we protect our teams to keep them supported and able to thrive? How can we strengthen resilience in communities facing uncertainty and violence? How can leaders sustain hope and wellbeing while meeting growing demands?

Trauma Treatment International helps leaders understand the impact of trauma and respond in ways that build confidence, resilience, and connection. This strengthens both people and organisations, enabling them to continue making a positive difference in their communities.

Demand for this support is growing, but many of the organisations that contact us cannot afford the help they need. By raising additional funds, we can equip more leaders, support more communities, and help create stronger, safer, and more hopeful futures. We can create a ripple effect of healing.

A generous donor has committed £5,000 to encourage us to seek match funding. If we can raise a further £5,000, we will create a £10,000 fund dedicated to supporting smaller, grassroots charities and communities affected by trauma and harm.

This fund will enable us to:

• Offer free trauma-informed support sessions to small charities and community organisations that would otherwise be unable to access them.

• Provide free training and guidance for volunteers, trustees and charity leaders

• Support referrals for specialist trauma treatment for individuals who have experienced violence, intimidation, or other forms of harm.

• Strengthen the resilience of organisations working on the front line of community support.

Every week, we hear from organisations and individuals who need help but lack the resources to access it. With your support, we can say "yes" more often.

Thank you

Sarah Cutler, CEO of Trauma Treatment International
