828 Cycle Challenge 2026

On 16–17 January 2026, fourteen teams will take on a 24-hour endurance cycle at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales to raise vital funds for Head for Change.

This challenge isn’t just about stamina. It’s about standing with the players, families, and communities affected by the long-term impact of head injury in sport.

Recent losses in the rugby community bring home just how vulnerable many former players feel, both physically and mentally. The need for meaningful support has never been more urgent.

Funds raised through the 828 Cycle Challenge will support our work to:

💙 Provide care and support to former players and their families.

💙 Drive research into safer sports practices and brain health.

💙 Educate clubs, schools, and communities on playing sport safely.
