Story
On Saturday, 2nd May, Frank and I will be cycling from London to Brighton to raise money for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation UK (PMSF UK). We have set a target of £500 for a cause that we have been very closely involved with since we were kids.
PMSF UK supports individuals and families affected by Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, a rare genetic condition caused by a deletion on chromosome 22. Those living with the syndrome face significant challenges, including developmental delays, mobility issues, and difficulties with communication. Most individuals require additional care and support throughout their daily lives.
The charity provides a vital, inclusive community for over 400 families across the UK and Ireland. The money we raise will help fund family days, get-togethers, and provide limited support for essential therapies and equipment. Having been involved with the charity for most of our lives, we know first-hand how much this support matters to the community.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help us reach our goal and support the brilliant work PMSF UK does.
