Turner Scott 12 Hour Cycle-a-thon · 5 April 2024

Since 1953, Kendal Search & Mountain Rescue team has provided search and rescue assistance across South Lakeland. We are one of 12 teams in the Lake District on call 24 hrs per day, 7 days a week. The team is almost entirely funded from donations. It costs around £ 70,000 per year to run the team.

Story

The team at residential letting specialists Turner Scott will be embarking on a 12 hour constant cycle to fund raise for Kendal Mountain Search & Rescue.

The cycle-a-thon will take place at the agency’s offices in Kendal on 5th April 2024. There will also be hook-a-duck and lucky dip games for children, as well as drinks and nibbles.

Please come along on the day to show your support, donate and enjoy some drinks and nibbles while the team are put through their paces in aid of this worth cause.

The target for this event is to raise £1,000 which will help fund a new side awning for Kendal Mountain Search & Rescue's Mobile Control vehicle to support them when used in a search and incident control role.
