Story
Meet our nephew (and Moo’s cousin!) Sid. Sid was born with a condition called Tricuspid Atresia - essentially, with half a heart. It’s a serious heart condition and despite everything his little body has gone through - he is always smiling and makes us smile too.
The treatment pathway for this condition is intense. At just 4 years old he’s had several open heart surgeries. After one of these, he had a series of strokes which caused brain damage. That brain damage has also led to a form of epilepsy. He will need lifelong care. But he is a fighter! They said at points he would never walk…but he did. They said he probably would talk….hes now saying a few words. He’s a Super Sid!
I can’t imagine what heart parents go through. I do see it though in my sister, brother-in-law and niece. It’s beyond difficult.
The charity Little Hearts Matter has been there for them emotionally and practically, providing information and a community that has really carried them through.
And this month its HEART MONTH. And….its Daddy and Papa’s 10th wedding anniversary so let’s combine it. We’d love it if you could drop a donation to this amazing charity who have supported our family so much. It will mean so much to them. They are a small charity and the only one supporting this condition in children. Call it a gift in lieu of an anniversary gift.
Love
Daddy, Papa and Moo xx
