Story
We’re proud to be supporting Young Lives vs Cancer through our Goals for Good campaign.
Every day, 12 children and young people in the UK hear the devastating news that they have cancer. When that happens, life changes overnight — and for many families it also means travelling long distances for specialist care, time away from work and home, and the added pressure of increased costs.
For families in Essex, treatment can often involve regular trips to hospitals such as Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and University College Hospital (UCH) in London — an average 80-mile round trip. Alongside the emotional toll, that travel can be physically exhausting and financially draining, with families facing around £700 in additional monthly costs.
That’s where Paul’s House helps. Paul’s House is Young Lives vs Cancer’s free “Home from Home” accommodation near GOSH and UCH, giving families a safe place to stay together while their child is in treatment - somewhere they can cook, wash clothes, rest, and feel supported. In 2023/24, 30 families from Essex stayed at Paul’s House, totalling 62 family stays.
How Goals for Good works
During the 2026 World Cup, TWO Services will donate £40 for every goal England score, plus additional bonus donations if England progress through the tournament.
How your donation helps
Every donation supports Young Lives vs Cancer to keep providing emotional, practical and financial support to children and young people with cancer - and to help fund accommodation like Paul’s House so families can stay close when it matters most.
