Team Homelink is raising money for Rotary Club of Twickenham

Richmond Borough Swimathon 2025 · 2 November 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

The Rotary Swimathon has become an annual community event, proudly held at Teddington Pool. Since it began in 2005, the Swimathon has raised over £80,000 for a wide range of local and international charities. Help us to make it even better this year!

Story

Homelink is a local charity dedicated to the wellbeing of older people and their unpaid carers. We believe that everyone should be able to live a meaningful life in which they feel engaged, purposeful, and connected within their community. To that end, we provide both day care for those who need it and vital respite, social, and emotional support for carers.

We’re excited to introduce our fundraising team, made up of four swimmers with a strong connection to Homelink: Centre volunteers Wally and Karen, Volunteer Driver Alun, and Zara, the granddaughter of our centre volunteer Jackie. They are taking on this challenge to help raise vital funds for the charity and show their support for our community.

Thank you so much for supporting this charity as well as the work of Twickenham Rotary. 70% of the donations will go to the swimmers' chosen charity Homelink, and the remaining 30% will go to Twickenham Rotary to lend support wherever the need is greatest, either locally or internationally.
