On 26 May 2022 I had a mountain bike accident whilst training for the London triathlon. My argument with a tree concluded in a Spinal Cord Injury and paraplegia. Over the last year I have worked on this and can now do this mad event

I currently walk with a stick and have been determined to get back onto a bike. I still have a lot of weakness and constrained movement in my left side but my right side is much better apart from no sensation.

This event is my opportunity to complete a triathlon of the same distance as I was trying for, as well as raise money for The Royal British Legion. A team of military veterans from our company, Splunk, are going to be supporting me around this course. This will be a significant challenge and milestone for me so I wanted to raise funds for other veterans and their families less fortunate than me.

The Royal British Legion was founded to help those in need following a national crisis. Right now they are helping those who are isolated from family, facing homelessness, struggling to feed their children and are in financial crisis. They are working tirelessly to ensure that those who have served are being looked after no matter what challenges they, and the country faces. Your donation shows you care. And helps the Royal British Legion to continue its vital work.
