🔥 Run the Runway - 5K in Fire Kit for The Fire Fighters Charity 🔥

On Friday 24th October 8pm under the Runway lights, a team of slightly mad, definitely brave on-call firefighters from Tyndrum Community Fire Station will be lining up at Oban Airport for Run the Runway.

But we’re not just running any old 5K…

We’ll be doing it in our firefighting kit - the thick trousers, the jacket, the helmet. Trust us, the kit’s not built for running. It’s hot, it’s heavy, and it’s probably going to hurt!

Why? Because The Fire Fighters Charity is there for us and our families when we need it most. Whether it’s physical recovery, mental health support, or a helping hand through tough times, they’re always there for the fire service community. Now we want to give something back.

We’re not the fastest runners. In fact, some of us are just hoping to make it over the finish line without collapsing in a sweaty heap. But we’ll be digging deep, pushing through the pain, and (hopefully) crossing that finish line together – because the cause is worth every step.
