Tyne Amateur Rowing Club sits on the River Tyne at Newburn, about 7 miles west of Newcastle city centre. We have the longest and arguably best stretch of river for rowing in the north of England. And we have a new clubhouse with excellent indoor facilities.

Story

The senior squad at Tyne Amateur Rowing Club has had a great season, and we're looking for ways to continue improving (and something to aim for while staving off the Henley Blues). To help this we're raising money to buy some Concept2 ErgBikes - allowing the squad to cross-train more effectively, and allow members of the squad who may not be able to erg to still participate in squad sessions.

Members of the senior squad will undertake a gruelling cycle to the sources of the North and South Tyne rivers, as well as a brief stop at the 'meeting of the waters' - the spot where both rivers merge to form the mighty Tyne.
