Breaking the Silence: Supporting Men’s Mental Health
My name is Tyrone Clinton Uyumwunigbebe, and I am a Mr Africa UK 2026 Finalist passionate about raising awareness for men’s mental health.
Too many men suffer in silence. Society often teaches men to be strong, to hide their emotions, and to carry their struggles alone. As a result, many men battle stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, financial pressures, and emotional pain without seeking support.
Through my campaign, “Breaking the Silence,” I aim to encourage men especially Black, African, immigrant, and diaspora men aged 30 and above to speak openly about their mental health and seek help when they need it.
I am raising funds for Mind in Croydon because mental health support can change lives. Every donation will help provide essential services, support networks, and resources for people facing mental health challenges in our community.
This cause is deeply personal to me because I believe that no one should have to struggle alone. Together, we can challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, create safe spaces for conversations, and remind people that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
Thank you for supporting this journey and helping us break the silence around mental health.
Together, we can save lives, one conversation at a time.
