We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.

Story

Our little man Tyson has sadly been very poorly,

After having Meningitis which then lead to sepsis he has been under 24 hour care in a induced coma at Addenbrooke's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The past week has been very difficult for Tyson and left family and friends very worried of the outcome for Tyson, Being on a kidney dialysis machine and having to undergo emergency surgery on both his legs which was life threatening, The procedure was to allow circulation to his legs and feet by incisions to each leg to relive pressure on his veins to save his legs from the sepsis. Which unfortunately was not successful on the right leg which lead to making the decision for Tyson to have his right leg amputated. This was very difficult to Comprehend as you could imagine but the staff could not be more supportive in Tyson’s journey there’s no words to describe how loving and thoughtful they are in this difficult time of our life,

We are beyond grateful for the Picu ward at Addenbrookes hospital as a team they have supported and saved our Tyson's life and managed to stabilise and improve his health.

The team have not only been outstanding with our boy Tyson they have gone above and beyond to support our family and make this devastating time a little bit more bearable.

As you can imagine our life's are upside down with not having our little Tyson running around and bringing us the happiness and laughter he normally does on a daily basis. He is fighting strong and showing us how brave and resilient he really is.

We can not put into words how amazing the team have been at Addenbrooke's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) they really are angels on earth, we would like to raise some money for this ward. As its not only Tyson's and our families life they have had a positive impact on there are many of families like ours experiencing this heartbreak,

Tyson is on the mend and fighting strong thanks to the team.

we appreciate all support. We would like to give back to those that are part of the picu ward and all the hospital team for your unbelievable efforts with all the hard work they put in.

Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of children and families facing unimaginable challenges. Your generosity has the power to bring comfort, relief, and hope to those who need it most.

Your support will ensure that Addenbrooke's PICU continues to be hope of light and hope for families in their time of need.
