Story
The Challenge
In the summer of 2026, I will be cycling from London to Lviv. A journey of around 2,250 km (1400 miles) across six countries in just 14 days of cycling, meaning c.160km (100 miles) per day. I am hoping to raise £22,500 for Superhumans, an incredible Ukrainian charity providing prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, and psychological care to soldiers and civilians wounded in the war.
Now, here’s the catch... I am not a cyclist. I’m learning as I go, starting from near scratch (unless you consider Lime Bikes as cycling experience...!), and it’s going to take a huge amount of training and preparation to get ready for this challenge. There’s still a lot to plan, and many of the finer details are yet to be figured out. But what is certain is:
The charity: Superhumans
The distance: 2,250 km (c.100 Miles per day)
The target: £22,500
The next year: Saddle sores and lycra (sorry in advance to those unlucky enough to see me in lycra).
Why Superhumans?
The war in Ukraine has left thousands of people with life-changing injuries. Superhumans, based in Lviv, is restoring hope and independence by:
Providing state-of-the-art prosthetics to children and adults who have lost limbs.
Performing life-changing reconstructive surgery.
Offering rehabilitation and psychological support to help people recover not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
The people of Ukraine have inspired me. They have shown extraordinary strength and resilience as a nation, displaying bravery and stoicism in the face of aggression. I want to help those who have been injured, whether soldiers or civilians, and ensure they receive the care and support needed to rebuild their lives.
I wanted to find a way to help and this ride is my way of standing with them. More than that, I want to make a lasting contribution to real people. And even if this is only in a minor way, it will still help someone take a step forward in their recovery.
The Superhumans team in Lviv have kindly invited me to visit their world-class facility when I arrive. So I’ll be able to see first-hand the impact your donations are making.
The Goal: £22,500
£10 for every kilometre of the journey. When the legs are tired, there's a headwind and a hill up ahead, knowing the impact these donations will have, will ensure the pedals keep turning towards Lviv.
Every donation, big or small, takes us closer to changing someone’s life.
How You Can Help
Donate as much or as little as you can. Whether it’s £10 for a kilometre or more or less.

Follow the journey as I train, prepare, and finally take on the ride to Lviv.
This is going to be the toughest thing I’ve ever attempted, but I believe in this cause with everything I have. With your support, we can make a huge difference for those who need it most.
