Story
Tens of thousands of people have been left homeless in freezing conditions after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated southern Turkey on Monday. The earthquake was followed by multiple aftershocks with the highest being of magnitude 7.5.
Experts estimate over 14,000 deaths and 63,000 injured with more than 180,000 trapped under the rubble, waiting to be rescued.
As UAL’s students we are deeply saddened by the situation in our beloved country. We are launching the University of the Arts London Students' Fundraiser to support the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund run by Turkey Mozaik Foundation. Your donations will support civil society organisations working on the ground to provide immediate relief and medium to aid long term recovery to survivors of the earthquake.
Our mission is to provide funding for charities, projects and programmes through fundraising activities in the UK.
We really appreciate all your help. Thank you.
