Story

uHub Therapy Centre was founded by Cara Collins and Pamela Kirkpatrick on 16 May 2016 to provide an exceptional counselling service, with a multi-disciplinary approach to emotional health and well-being. We see uHub as having something for everyone, from small children right through to adults. We have an exceptional team, delivering talking therapies & group workshops. Our clients can choose which therapies best suit their needs our mission is to promote emotional wellness, balance and contentment.

As uHub evolved we saw the need for more varied services and small group work which we called huddles to work with those who are neurodiverse. Alongside our then Board member Amanda Poole who created and ran In Touch with Autism for parents and carers this programme has now developed to support groups of different ages, parent and carers. Amanda is now a team member at uHub having left the Board to join us in 2022 and start groups such as the Offline group for younger teenagers, a group for 16-18 year olds and the Brew and Crew group for adult males who are neurodiverse. We also run our weekly Art Clubs for two age ranges.

All of these services are funded and provided to those who attend at no cost. Unfortunately our funding is coming to an end so we are trying to raise some funds for uHub to help keep these vital services going as long as possible until we secure some further funding in a difficult funding landscape.

So to raise money we will be meeting at 4:30am in the dark and walk upwards towards the rising sun. This will be held on Saturday 16 May 2026 which is uHub’s tenth anniversary.
