This Sunday 10th May 2026, the team at UK Remediation Ltd are lacing up our trainers and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones for a cause that really matters to us.

Becca & Michala are taking on a 10k, while Eban & Kieran are going the extra distance with a half marathon – all to support 1625 Independent People.

We’re proud to be fundraising for a charity that is genuinely changing lives.

1625 Independent People work with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, leaving care, or at risk of homelessness. They don’t just provide a roof over someone’s head - they provide stability, support, and a future. From safe accommodation to help with mental health, education, employment and life skills, they give young people the tools and confidence to build independent, fulfilling lives.

What really stands out to us are the stories behind the statistics. Young people who have faced incredibly tough starts – trauma, unstable homes, or having no one to turn to - finding not just support, but a sense of belonging and belief in themselves again. As one young person put it, 1625 is a place where they feel supported by people who “really want to help” and where they can finally just be themselves.

That’s why we’re running.

Because everyone deserves a safe place to live.

Because having the right support can change everything.

Because a small contribution can help change the direction of a young person’s life.
