Story
This year, the UK National Contact Centre Awards are honoured to support Elsie’s Story, a charitable trust founded in October 2024 in loving memory of Elsie Dot Stancombe, who was tragically lost in the Southport attack in July 2024.
"When our Laura Farrell (Engagement Manager at CCMA) asked if we could support Elsie’s Story, it was a genuine plea for help. Laura knew Elsie. Her children played with Elsie. And she has a close connection to her family. On meeting Elsie’s mum, Jen, I was overwhelmed with how focused she is in creating a credible charity that simply aims to bring a smile to children’s faces – all driven by Elsie’s dream to raise money to help others. I cannot imagine what Jen is going through. Please give what you can to help Jen achieve the dreams of her daughter, and to support as many children as they can." Leigh Hopwood, CEO, CCMA
Established to honour Elsie’s life and spirit, the trust is dedicated to making a positive difference by awarding grants in her name. Its mission is to support young people and strengthen communities through initiatives that promote care, connection, and resilience. This includes funding local projects, providing medical assistance and family support, and championing causes that bring joy and unity - reflecting Elsie’s own vibrant and compassionate nature.
"Elsie was the most caring and generous little girl and we have promised to not let this awful tragedy be in vain and creating this trust is the start of this." Elsie's Story
