Story
This September, Harry, Rich and Henry will be running the Julian Alps 50km Ultra Marathon in Slovenia in support of The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education. Improving literacy is integral to creating opportunities for young people to succeed across the curriculum and throughout their lives. It was a topic particularly dear to Jill Thomas, mother to Richard who passed away in December 2020. The team wanted to raise money for a cause that helps improve lives, create opportunities, and drive a thirst for learning to years to come.
They will be taking on the mountainous 53km route which includes over 2,700m of elevation - the equivalent of Ben Nevis (1,345 metres) twice over, or 9 times up The Shard for you Londoners.
Further details on the race can be found here:

The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education is a UK based children's literacy charity working with primary schools. Their work raises the achievement of children's reading and writing by helping schools to teach literacy creatively and effectively, putting quality children’s books at the heart of all learning.
Any donations to help us reach our target of £5,000 would be much appreciated.
