World’s Toughest Mile – Ayrshire Cancer Support Fundraiser

Welcome to the very first World’s Toughest Mile fundraiser!

This event has been created to raise as much money as possible for Ayrshire Cancer Support, helping local people and their families affected by cancer receive the support they need when they need it most.

This challenge is particularly close to our hearts. One of our organisers, Annie, was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. And has faced recurrent metastatic stage 4 cancer. Despite everything she has faced, she continues to show incredible strength and determination—and she’ll be taking on the challenge herself, proving that she’s still saying “CAN to cancer!” Her courage is the inspiration behind this event and a reminder of why we’re fundraising.

The World’s Toughest Mile is made up of four demanding stages, each designed to test a different aspect of your fitness and determination. Over the course of one mile, participants will complete:

A running section to get the heart pumping.

A strength-based section to challenge power and endurance.

A functional fitness section packed with tough exercises.

A final grit-and-determination section that will push you to the finish line.

Whether you’re racing for a personal best, taking part with friends, or simply challenging yourself, every step helps support an incredible cause.

Please note: Participation is entirely at your own risk. By taking part, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring you are fit and able to complete the event.

Our goal is for this to become an annual community event, with this being the first of many. We’d love your support in helping us make this inaugural event a huge success.
