I'm fundraising for Matthew22, an incredible charity setup in the memory of Matthew Hollingworth, an incredible young man who passed away from cancer aged 22.

I first met Gary, Matthew's dad when he was introduced to me by another client, when I heard Gary's story and seeing his emotion and pride talking about Matthew, my natural instinct was to help. We created a website for the charity in 2023 for free via our give back scheme at the agency.

Since then I've got to know Gary and his family on a more personal level, I even played darts (poorly, it must be said) at his house for a fundraiser, again in the memory of Matthew.

For me personally, raising money for a cancer charity has a personal sentiment too, I lost my dad to Cancer when I was only 11 and I know what a horrible disease it can be, with life shattering consequences.

At the time of writing this, at the beginning of my journey I'm obese and inactive, so this truly is a monumental task for me to be fit, lose the weight and successfully complete the half-marathon.
