Leukaemia Care is a charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support.

My darling nephew, Beau, has been battling this cancer since his diagnosis in May '23. I am so proud of his resilience and his unbelievable ability to smile in the face of such disruption and discomfort. I am running this race both to raise money for such an important cause, but also to show Beau that a modestly athletic, recreational runner can challenge himself (also with a smile, hopefully) to run a 3:30 marathon. That determination, grit and the support of others can do amazing things in life.
