Story
Unipart is raising money for Teams4U the charity, through various fundraising activities, to dig and implement running water into a healthcare facility in Kumi, Uganda🇺🇬
Teams4U do incredible work in Uganda, Sierra Leone and Romania to improve the lives of children🧡
In recent surveys, 75% of Ugandans have to walk over 30mins to get water, and 91% don’t have piped water into their home, schools or healthcare facilities.🚰 Can you imagine going into hospital to give birth or have an operation and not have access to running water??
85% of disease in Uganda could be prevented through access to clean running water and soap, which Teams4U is continuing to help facilities across rural Uganda.🧼
Not only does Teams4U support Uganda in the efforts to improve access to clean water, but they also deliver a develop with dignity programme! This programme delivers a morning of sports, followed by teaching the boys about respecting women and staying in education, whilst the girls discuss some of the myths around menstruation and provided students with reusable sanitary products to allow them to stay in school the whole year, rather than missing 3 months every year ❤️ Recent surveys show a 45% increase in girls attending schools which Teams4U have visited!
As part of the fundraising efforts, Unipart’s Adam Jones, Holly Cornford, Ruth Symons and Amy Bayliss are going to be skydiving on 31st July ✈️ The highest donation will have their company logo on our jumpsuits!💰
Teams4U continues to work tirelessly in Uganda to help improve the lives and futures of children and adults, and Unipart is helping to raise funds to allow the charity to continue their incredible work!🧡
