Story
When Henri Desgrange came up with the idea for the Tour de France 120 years ago, little did he know that the world famous race would create a cycling legacy in Yorkshire, where stages 1 and 2 were famously held back in 2014 and the most recent Tour of Britain passed through this September.
Inspired by these events, and to support Unipart’s BIG Charity Challenge 2023, we are hosting our own Tour de Tech between Wednesday 1st and Friday 3rd November.
The Tour de Tech will see riders representing all of our businesses complete a gruelling three day between all of the UTG sites covering 185 miles and climbing over 8,500 ft…the equivalent of cycling up Whernside and Ingleborough...
Check out our gallery and updates below to meet the Tour de Tech team.

The Children's Hospital Charity
We're completing the Tour de Tech this year to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity, a charity close to hearts and our businesses that works together with Sheffield Children’s Hospital, to ensure that children and young people receive the very best care, in the best possible environment.
The money raised through events like ours buys life-saving equipment, funds vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world, and helps create comfortable and engaging environments for young patients at Sheffield Children's Hospital
Thanks for your generosity, support and messages of encouragement.
