The World Scout Jamboree is one of the most significant events in the global Scouting movement, bringing together thousands of young people from around the world to celebrate unity, adventure, and cultural exchange. Held approximately every four years, the Jamboree is a gathering unlike any other, offering Scouts the opportunity to experience a world of diversity while participating in activities that foster personal growth, leadership, and global citizenship. In 2027 it is being held in Gdansk, Poland.

36 Scouts and Explorers (aged 14-18) from Coventry and Solihull are raising funds to cover unit expenses for the once-in-a-lifetime event to join the UK Contingent in Poland.

They plan to virtually walk, hike, ride, run and swim to Gdansk from their HQ in Solihull/Coventry during 2026. One team will walk/hike/ride/run the land route of 1039 miles while one team will swim the entire distance of 892 miles (775 nautical miles) after hiking to the east coast of the UK. We can't wait to see which team gets there first!
