Story
Oreo was transferred down to us from the Peterborough branch, he came in to them as a stray as he was found abandoned in a car. His fur was all yellow, we think from being covered in engine oil. He was in desperate need of medical attention. He couldn’t open his eyes properly due to a painful condition called entropion. This is when the eyelids roll inward and the eyelashes scratch the eyes. Oreo needed immediate surgery to save his sight.
Sadly one of his eyes had to be removed due to corneal changes but he has adapted brilliantly and is now a happy and affectionate cat.
He also had a sore patch of bare skin on his back which has grown back beautifully since coming into our care and receiving the love he deserves. His striking white fur is coming back too as the yellowness fades.
Despite his rough start, Oreo is a super friendly boy. He remains unaffected by his time as a stray, and has recovered well from his surgery and is now looking for a home of his own.
He loves nothing more than lots of cuddles, he climbs up your front to get into your arms, there's no arguing with him.
We’re raising £3,000 to cover the cost of Oreo’s surgery and recovery, and any extra donations will go to help other cats like him who need urgent care. Your support will give Oreo and cats like him a chance at a happy, healthy life.
