Our mission is to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis. Since opening in 2018, we’ve helped over 4,300 suicidal men access free, life-saving therapy at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 75% of deaths by suicide are men, but suicides are preventable. Donate today to help save lives.

Story

This year for movember Univeristy of Liverpool Lacrosse have chosen to donate our fundraising to James’ Place in memory of a very special man, Omar, a close friend to many within the club who we unfortunately lost in May due to struggles with mental health.

Any donations made will be supporting the club in a hike up Snowdon on the 26th November, in solidarity with men who struggle with their mental health.

The men in the club will also be putting their best efforts to grow a tash to show their support for the cause.

James’ Place is the charity close to Omar’s family. Below is a message from the charity themselves explaining what it is they do:

At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. Yet, in the UK suicide is still the single leading cause of death of men under 50. We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis to help them find hope for the future.
