Story
PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. Every year, over 1,800 young lives in the UK are lost to suicide. Globally, it's estimated that 1.5 million people attempt to take their own life each year, and around 720,000 of those lives are tragically lost.
These numbers are not just statistics, they are sons, daughters, friends, siblings, classmates, colleagues. People.
PAPYRUS provides confidential support and practical advice to young people struggling with suicidal thoughts, and to anyone who is worried about a young person. Their helpline, HOPELINE247, is available 24/7 to offer life-saving support when it’s needed most.
Every £10 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you.
We’ve chosen to support PAPYRUS because of a personal connection, we are fundraising not only to give back, but to ensure others have the same chance to hold onto their loved ones. Mental health isn’t always visible, it can affect anyone, at any time. No one should face suicidal thoughts alone, and PAPYRUS is working tirelessly to change that.
With your support, we can help save young lives.
Thanks - Abbey
