Story

The GB Row Challenge is a 2,000 mile rowing race around Britain’s coastline. But it isn’t just about ocean rowing. It’s a challenge with a powerful sustainable purpose: the rowers collaborate with scientists to collect data on microplastics, temperature, noise pollution, and biodiversity.

This research is made possible by donations to the University of Portsmouth’s Environment Fund.

Play a part in protecting the planet that sustains us. Humans are damaging marine ecosystems at an unprecedented rate and our research groups are at the forefront of understanding these impacts.

Donate to the Environment Fund to help cover the specialist equipment installed on the boats to enable a reliable collection of the environmental data.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
