Story
On Friday 25 September, teams from Urban Element and Sanderson Weatherall LLP are joining forces to take on One Special Walk 2026, walking the full 18-mile route through West London in support of SpecialEffect.
So far, our walking team is Brian Donnelly and Philip Waite from Sanderson Weatherall, alongside Jon and Tash Ellard from Urban Element. We’re hoping a few more might be persuaded to join us before the day!
Starting and finishing at Fulham FC, the route takes us past Twickenham Stadium, through Richmond Park and Kew Gardens, and alongside the River Thames.
We’re doing it together to raise as much as we can for SpecialEffect, an incredible charity that uses innovative technology to transform the lives of people with physical disabilities.
Their work helps people enjoy video games when conventional controls aren't accessible, supports communication and independence for people with severe injuries, and helps medically isolated children reconnect with their education and friends.
For us, this is very much a collaborative fundraiser. Two businesses, one team for the day, 18 miles and hopefully plenty of support along the way.
Last year's One Special Walk raised an incredible £140,000 for SpecialEffect, and we'd love to play our part in making this year's event another success.
Every donation, however large or small, will help SpecialEffect continue its amazing work.
Please support the Urban Element and Sanderson Weatherall team and help make those 18 miles count.
Thank you for your support.
