Story
We’re delighted to announce for the second year in a row, our charity of the year is Alzheimer’s Research UK.
This September, I’m taking on the South Downs and Seven Sisters 3-Day Challenge, walking 70km in memory of my beloved grandfather, who sadly passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2008.
He was a kind, gentle soul who meant the world to our family. Watching him slowly fade away was heart-breaking, and since then, I’ve longed for a way to honour his memory and help make a difference for others affected by this cruel disease.
Alzheimer’s doesn’t just steal memories – it steals moments, identities, and connections. But research brings hope.
By donating, you’ll be helping to fund vital research into prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure. Every step I take will be for my grandfather and the millions of families impacted by dementia.
Please give what you can. Every pound makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support, together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against dementia.
About Alzheimer's Research UK
Alzheimer's Research UK is dedicated to revolutionising the way we treat diagnose and prevent dementia. Dementia affects 1,000,000 in the UK alone, with numbers expected to rise significantly in the coming years. The charity's mission is to keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia, and with our support, we can help make this goal a reality.
