On the 17th of May, a group of four of us (Andy, Ashton, Ryan, and Josh), will be taking on a 55k ultra marathon through Snowdonia. The race is over 34 miles distance and 3km+ elevation, along challenging trails and including climbing Snowdon twice.

The race is sure to be a challenge- every year a large proportion of racers DNF and are beaten by the brutal trails.

We are fundraising for Flourish NI, a local charity which does amazing work across Northern Ireland. They aim to bring a brighter future for everyone affected by human trafficking, providing long term support to survivors to help them rebuild their lives. Human trafficking, including modern slavery, is sadly not a thing of the past (even in Northern Ireland), and Flourish does fantastic work to support those who have been affected by any form of human trafficking. They support survivors of modern slavery along with their families, with key services including helping them to gain independence, improve their mental and physical wellbeing, teaching financial security skills, advocating for them in legal matters, community work, and looking to a better future for these people. Survivors are very vulnerable and at huge risk of re-exploitation, isolation, and face many barriers to thrive in life, and the work which Flourish does to support them is vital to help secure a brighter future.
